Mug Rug Swap Adventure 2 - sent and received!

Looking for my giveaway? Click here!

This post is a little belated, but I think it's necessary to show the AMAZING talents of the lady who sent me a mug rug - Adrienne from Crafting Mom of 1. I was absolutely SHOCKED and delighted to receive this in the mail one day, along with Anna Maria Horner scraps.

The story goes like this: I was thoroughly convinced I had signed up for this secret swap, but after a few weeks I realized, after seeing posts on Leona's blog, Leona's Quilting Adventure, that I never received a partner. I contacted Leona but she never email me back - but I'm sure she gets a lot of emails, so I wasn't annoyed, just confused. Then, I received this package - which explains the shock value. I emailed Leona again - there was still a week left to send out a mug rug, because I apparently had a partner! and I would hate to leave someone from getting a package - and she emailed me back!

I thought Adrienne did a BEAUTIFUL job. I told her I love AMH, purple, and hexagons... and she did it all. I still look over at it and wonder if it's really mine, forever!

I whipped this up for my end of the swap - my partner liked more traditional piecing but was experimenting with applique and modern fabrics, so I thought I would cater to the last two parts of that equation!

I really loved this swap, and I'm looking forward to the next one... if you participated, were you pleased with your mug rug?
