Today I'm happy to share a tutorial for an Evergreen Pennant Banner over at Benartex's blog, Sew in Love {With Fabric}! I wanted to create something appropriate for the winter season as a whole, and since it's reversible, there are endless options for fabric selection.

ReplyDeleteVery cute - can see making the trees ahead and then having the grands help sew them on the 'garland' with star buttons. Not a sewing craft, but must have the oranges studded with spices for that lovely scent thru the house.
ReplyDeleteUsually this time of the year I need new oven mitts and/or hot pads so I figure others do possibly as well so those I try to do each year. I don't always get them done, but do plan to make them as they make nice gifts.

ReplyDeleteI don't really have a favorite thing to make at the holidays. I just make whatever comes up on the internet that I like. This year I made a cute snow globe Santa table topper for my brother and his wife. Turned out cute! And I made an ornament for my first grandchild's first Christmas.

Jess, I love making wreaths for all seasons, collecting pine cones, gumballs (plenty of 'em here in the south east), acorns. Spray paint them to the color of the season, and glue or wire wrap to the wreath.

My favorite craft with kids are decorations made on pipe cleaners by stacking beads. My favorite craft otherwise is something sewn - small decorations, placemats etc

ReplyDeleteHi Jess--cute banner! A few years ago I made Christmas stockings for foster kids though Lyanna's online drive. Since then I have tried to do that, and most years have made them either for our local foster program or the Ronald McDonald House. Feels very good.
