Look for some giveaways at the bottom of this post!
First, I just wanted to say thank you so much to my followers - I really appreciate that you want to see what I write! It truly makes me happy! :)
My trip to the quilting store was successful. Here's what I've added to my stash, in honor of my upcoming 21st birthday on Friday:
My first jelly roll! Fruitcake! Can't wait to unravel it when I get home and get cracking on some Christmas gifts! Well, actually, I love the way it looks all raveled up...
By now, you've probably noticed I'm obsessed with fat quarters...
The four on the right are purples for my purple quilt (!),and the ones on the left are for my stash... because I don't have enough dots. Real question, though - can you ever have enough dots?
I've also been waiting to get that Amy Butler Love Sunspot fabric, and I snagged some (fourth from right...), and buttons, and there's some "It's a Hoot!" in the purples... and then there's this:
I didn't have a specific reason for buying it, but when I use it one day, I'm going to devote a whole post to it. Just because its adorable. And awesome :)
Also, if you've been living under a rock, or you just haven't read your blogs in the last 48 hours or so, the gigantic Sew, Mama, Sew giveaway is going on! There are literally... about... 300 bloggers participating. That's A LOT! And most of the giveaways end on Friday, my birthday, so I'm really crossing my fingers to win something!
This is day two and I just made it to the third page of blogs... I'll get there. I wanted to participate but I was a little... nervous to. I promise I'll have a giveaway soon, though! I'm already thinking about it... can't say when, though. Just stay tuned :)
Here in my dorm, I've decorated for Christmas. Sadly, only a little, but I'm packing up all my stuff tomorrow anyway to go home, where the REAL Christmas decorations are... and I'll post another post about that :) And all the sewing I'll be doing soon!
Here's my elf... colored in while watching Serendipity with my friends.
Decorations in the shared area - sorry it's a little dark, but that's what the lighting is like out there!
And finally, I'm finishing a scarf for one lucky person! They kind of know already, but I'm proud of this scarf. I've been working on it for quiiiiiite a while, and especially since I started quilting/sewing, I've been putting it off. But here it is, almost done:
And... goodnight. :) Life is good.
