WIP Wednesday

These are wonky stars for my partner in the Modernista Homemade flickr swap, bedroom edition. I'm using the Sparkle Punch QAL instructions from Oh, Fransson -  I totally missed the boat on that QAL and always wanted to try it. The blocks are super fun and easy, and I'm totally into the "scrappy" look always right now (and so, apparently, is my partner!).

I'm hoping on I'm on the right track here! I don't like to say too much about what's going on here until mail day, because it's so much more fun when you have no idea what you are getting ;) And I know people snoop around the blogs (just like they are supposed to - I'm guilty as well!). You should definitely go check out the seriously gorgeous creations happening in our swap flickr group.

I feel like a work in progress this week. The first week of teaching is always so stressful, but the best part is a) I'll be doing fun things this weekend and b) the weekend starts tomorrow afternoon, because summer school is only until Thursday :) I'm really enjoying the kids, even though it's all been an interesting challenge so far.

Sidenote - the second block for the Lantern-a-long MIGHT be delayed until Tuesday! Just a heads up! I don't anticipate this happening again :)

  3. I like the colour combo. This sparkle quilt pattern never really did it for me but now on second look , here and with Elizabeth (oh, fransson) running it again I may have to take the plunge. BTW back at school? This is only my 2nd week of vacation , we finished last day of June. How are you back to,school so soon? Year round classes? Or is this a summer school for kids to get back on track? We only run summer school for secondary panel, which I teach but I never have done summer school, my husband did, not me.
