Lantern-a-long Prizes!

Yesterday, I introduced the Lantern-a-long, and we already have a few people participating on Flickr! Woohoo! If you link up a finished quilt top (can be any size) or finished quilt at the end of the Lantern-a-long (August 12-August 19), you are in the running to win the following prizes, chosen at random:

Christa from Christa Quilts is offering a $20 gift certificate to her shop!

Caitlin from I Don't Do Dishes is offering a $15 credit to her shop!

My newly revamped logo :)

And, last but certainly not least... because my original lantern quilt top was made with Kate Spain's Good Fortune, Nicole from 1 Choice 4 Quilting is offering a charm pack of Kate's new line (that I'm already trying to decide in what capacity to buy): Sunnyside!

Thank you so much again to the sponsors of this QAL/LAL! You can click the buttons above to visit their shops!

The first block tutorial will be out on Tuesday. I love how quick these blocks come together, so you should totally join!  :) You need a jelly roll or 2.5" strips of your fabric, plus background fabric (see yesterday's post for more specific materials).

Here's the schedule again:

Tues. July 2 - Mon. July 8 - Gather supplies
Mon. July 8 - Lantern Block 1
Mon. July 15 - Lantern Block 2
Mon. July 22 - Lantern Block 3
Mon. July 29 - Lantern Block 4
Mon. August 5 - Lantern Block 5, finish up quilt tops
Mon. August 12 - Linky goes up for finished quilt tops/quilts (open for one week)
Mon. August 19 - Winners chosen at random from the linky pool!

Now you have even more of a reason to - so please join us on Flickr! :)

I'll be back soon with more recent sewing and to set my July goal!

  1. Hi Jess:
We are still needing many quilts for the families of the Arizona Firefighters who perished. If you can't help at this time perhaps you can post our need on your blog: http://layersofhopequilting911.blogspot.com/
We have several that have come on board, but we still need many more!

  2. Haha well probably the last thing I need is to join another QA, but who can resist something as intriguing as an /L/A? Looks like another fabric pull is in order ;)
