Orange Peel QAL: Winners!

Today's the big day! Here are the winners of the Orange Peel Quilt-A-Long. It was SO cool seeing the different variations of orange peels/petals (you can see all 17 entries and their accompanying blog posts/Flickr pictures here). Hand appliqued, and I LOVE this color scheme!

#2, Barbe!

 She used raw edge applique. The four patches came first, and then she added peels... sooo pretty and a great idea!

 I just love Kristin's bold fabric choices and the background depth (from those lovely grays). Amazing. Plus, it's pieced instead of appliqued! Kristin will be getting a little surprise from me in the mail.
