Then, I started pondering flannel for my brother's quilt, which I hope to finish for his birthday in February. I specifically wanted the above print ("Mammoth Bold Plaid") from Robert Kaufman (it's plaid-ish and in his colors), and I noticed that Hawthorne Threads had it.
So...I've been waiting for the right time to buy Mod Corsage by Anna Maria Horner; I seized the opportunity and added the ones I wanted to my cart. A really early birthday present to myself (2 whole months, no regrets here). I don't know what I'm going to make yet, but it's my favorite line of hers since Pretty Potent, so I had to get my hands on it before it goes. And then I found the moon print below ("Moon Phases in Navy" by Rae Ritchie), which is, in my opinion, everything I could ever want in a moon print. Did you know I'm obsessed with moon phases?
And then... well, you get the idea. I fell down the fabric rabbit hole and a large order appeared on my doorstep!
And now it's time to sew. Luckily I can incorporate some of the Carolyn Friedlander reds and limes into my current project... more on that soon.
Linking up to Sunday Stash.
What a lot beautiful fabric you picked up recently, Jess! I'm excited about the charm swap and look forward to seeing the fun groupings we end up with. :)
ReplyDeleteSuch a brilliant lot of stashing, those moons are awesome, I'm in the middle of hand quilting a Haptic Labs world map but am already thinking about the constellations one, this would be brilliant backing for it!
ReplyDeleteLovely. It's hard to resist fabrics, especially if they are on sale. Look forward see what you create with these.
ReplyDeleteOh Alice, welcome to the rabbit hole.
ReplyDeleteI love that phases of the moon and the new Anna Maria Horner. Very nice to see them here!
