Now I have a second bin of scraps next to my sewing machine and I'm stitching them together as a leader/ender project. It is very comforting picking through the bin and finding so many memories attached to the scraps. I very much like your more considered use of scraps and the way you place colour across your quilt tops.Allisonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00815741923418492777noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8017288345711987555.post-22799376036390202462018-01-18T07:28:40.154-05:002018-01-18T07:28:40.154-05:00Yes! Now I can't remember my cell phone #, but I can remember details about fabric I've had for 20 years! Isn't that weird? Hope you will share your video---would love to see how you work your magic!Cindyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17903124552033793046noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8017288345711987555.post-60602864494626587942018-01-17T23:31:54.390-05:002018-01-17T23:31:54.390-05:00Oh Yes, I have scraps. I look at the price of fabric and can't stand to throw away fabric that could be useful.....if you have enough other scraps to put with it. Can't wait to see your finished quilt. Oh, and sometimes my sister visits me to steal fabric scraps...because she doesn't have any!!Rochelle aka Bella Quiltshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09493294172036878044noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8017288345711987555.post-90983555918458430102018-01-17T10:03:42.557-05:002018-01-17T10:03:42.557-05:00It fascinates me that people can make these blocks...It fascinates me that people can make these blocks look so terrific. I like the decision about the one angled seam - and if another happens - only you will know unless you confess! Need to add this technique to my list of skills. Often I feel my precious saved scraps are so different from each other, that I won’t get the blendy thing. More thinking on this for me, than an experiment in my future!Kathleenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11621591443896350515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8017288345711987555.post-11710586468986755852018-01-17T02:08:40.174-05:002018-01-17T02:08:40.174-05:00I do a lot of EPP so smallish scraps can often be ...I do a lot of EPP so smallish scraps can often be used up that way. I like the idea of using so many at once like you have though, I could do to downsize my scrap pile. I have just used a lot of pink and blue scraps in small tumblers for a baby quilt. xKayhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00373043952789494619noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8017288345711987555.post-13642681782568919172018-01-16T18:09:08.971-05:002018-01-16T18:09:08.971-05:00Scrap quilts are awesome in the memories that they...Scrap quilts are awesome in the memories that they can hold. I love that you are planning for only the one angled seam. :)Yvonne from Quilting Jetgirlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15705160384198590025noreply@blogger.com
