I k...I didn't see anything about prewashing ... I know some people swear by it, others don't do it ever. Do you have a recommendation? Usually I prewash yardages, but obviously the layer cake wouldn't be prewashed. When I made my daughter's college quilt, I prewashed, but after we started it I kind of wished I hadn't. Some of the fat quarters shrunk SO much more than others; it might have been better to make the quilt and then wash it and let the shrinkage happen that way. Anyhow, I got my quilt kit from Nicole today and I plan to (hopefully) start tomorrow!
